Adults are more than welcome to do orthodontic treatment! Adult patients at our office sees Dr. Yau for many reasons from giving more space for an implant to finally getting that beautiful smile.

Everyone wants a smile they love. If you feel that improvement is needed in your smile, then orthodontic therapy may be what you need. We offer complimentary consultations to evaluate your smile and answer your questions!

When teeth overlap each other, it makes it difficult to clean the teeth. Food and tartar can start to build in the area and cause cavities or gum issues. When the teeth are straighter, they are easier to brush and floss. Your dentist or hygienist will be happier, too!

Many times your dentist will find themselves limited with what they can do to due to the positioning of the teeth. That's why orthodontic treatment may be needed before you get that veneer, bridge, or implant. An orthodontist, like Dr. Jennifer Yau, can move the teeth into better positions. This will then help your dentist be able to put the final restoration in the best spot.

At our office, Dr. Yau works closely with many dentists to ensure her patients will have a good experience.   She will communicate with your preferred dentist prior to starting orthodontic treatment to develop a thorough treatment plan in order to achieve your goals. 

If you are looking only to get a few teeth positioned, we can also customize the treatment and do limited orthodontic treatment. 

Every patient is different, and every patient gets their individualized treatment plan.

As an adult, you may not be interested in getting the "traditional" metal braces. If you do, that's fine, too!

For those interested in something different, we offer clear aligners and clear braces. They are more esthetic because they are less visible. With clear aligners, you can remove them and be able to speak and eat like you currently do. We are happy to show you the options when you come in for a complimentary visit!
